Your Evernote notes. In Markdown.
Drop one or more .enex exports and get a zip of Markdown notes, with their tags, dates and attachments, ready to unzip into your Obsidian vault.

Drop your .enex files here.
One .enex per notebook. Drop several at once to convert them together.
What it does
Every notebook, as plain files.
Moving from Notion too? Clean its export with Notion to Obsidian. Single notes from Word or PDF go through Word to Markdown and PDF to Markdown. The SystemSculpt plugin for Obsidian is free to start; pricing shows what the paid plans add.
- Notes and notebooks
- Each note becomes a Markdown file named by its title, in a folder named for its notebook. Headings, lists, tables, links and code blocks carry over.
- Tags and dates
- Tags, created and updated dates, the source address and author become Obsidian properties. Each file keeps the note’s last change as its date.
- Attachments and tasks
- Pictures, PDFs, audio and other files are saved in an attachments folder and embedded where they were. Checkboxes become - [ ] tasks.
Questions.
How do I export my notes from Evernote?
In the Evernote desktop app, right-click a notebook and choose Export Notebook, or select notes and choose Export. Pick ENEX format (.enex) and save. Do this for each notebook, then drop all the .enex files here at once.
How do I get the notes into Obsidian?
Unzip the download and move its folders into your vault folder, or open the unzipped folder in Obsidian as a new vault. Tags, dates and embedded attachments show up as soon as Obsidian indexes the notes.
What happens to links between notes?
A link to another Evernote note becomes a [[wikilink]] when its words match the title of a note in the files you dropped. Convert every notebook together so more links connect.
What about encrypted text?
Text you encrypted in Evernote stays encrypted in the export, so the note says where it was. Decrypt it in Evernote before exporting to keep it.
Is my export uploaded?
No. The export is read and converted in your browser, and the zip is made there too. Nothing is sent to SystemSculpt.
Does it cost anything?
No. It’s free, with no account and no sign-up.
