How do I open a Markdown file?
Choose Open file and pick a .md, .markdown or .txt file, or drop it on the viewer. It shows formatted at once, and you can edit the text beside the preview.
Does it show Obsidian syntax?
Yes. Wikilinks show as links, callouts as coloured boxes, ==text== as a highlight and %%comments%% are hidden, as in Obsidian’s Reading view. An embed shows the name of what it embeds, since the rest of the vault isn’t here.
How do I put Markdown into Google Docs or Word?
Open or paste it here, choose Copy formatted text, then paste into the document. Headings, bold, lists, tables and links come across as formatting rather than symbols.
Why don’t my images show?
An image saved beside the note, like ![[photo.png]] or , lives in your vault, not on the web, so the viewer shows its name. Images with a full web address load.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file is read and shown in your browser and isn’t uploaded or stored.
Does it cost anything?
No. It’s free, with no account and no sign-up.
