- Headings use Heading 1 to 6, so they fill the navigation pane. Lists are Word lists you can keep typing into.
- Tables and code
- Tables keep their column alignment and header row. Code blocks and inline code are set in Consolas.

- Wikilinks keep their text, callouts become shaded boxes, ==highlights== stay highlighted and %%comments%% are left out.

How do I convert Markdown to Word?
Open a .md file or paste Markdown, then choose Download .docx. The file is made in your browser and saved to your downloads, ready to open in Word.
How do I get Markdown into Google Docs?
Download the .docx, then in Google Docs choose File, Open, Upload and pick it. Google Docs keeps its headings, lists, tables and links. To paste into a document you already have, use Copy formatted text in the Markdown viewer.
Are the headings real Word headings?
Yes. # to ###### become Heading 1 to Heading 6, so they show in Word’s navigation pane and a table of contents can be built from them.
What happens to images?
An image with a web address becomes a link to it, labelled with its alt text. An image saved in your vault, like ![[photo.png]], isn’t here to include, so its name is written in its place.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The .docx is made by your browser from the text on this page, and the file isn’t uploaded or stored.
Does it cost anything?
No. It’s free, with no account and no sign-up.
